CRUISE PLAN (proposed):

FRIDAY: Sail from DSC south along Kent Island around Bloody Point and up Eastern Bay to the Miles River (46nm +/- 9hrs). OR via Chester River through Kent Narrows (tide permitting) down Prospect Bay to the Miles River and St Micheals (40nm +/- 8 hrs).

Dock at St Micheals Marina. Have dinner ashore in St Micheals. Stay overnight at the marina.

SATURDAY: In the morning, visit the historic shipbuilding and fishing town of St Micheals, CBMM, and/or the Mill District (winery, craft brewery, distillery). After lunch, sail out into the Miles River to watch the season finale MRYC Chesapeake Log Canoe Regatta (Race #2 starts @ 1400). Then, sail north down the Miles River to Shaw Bay. Explore the Wye River or Wye East River which surround Wye Island NRMA. Anchor overnight in Shaw Bay or the Wye River. Many consider the Wye to have the most picturesque anchorages on the Chesapeake Bay.

SUNDAY: Get an early start for the sail back to DSC via Bloody Point (43nm +/- 8.5hrs) or Kent Narrows on favorable tide (37nm +/- 7.5hrs)

COST:

1) DSC's Overnight Cruising Boat Fee: $100/person ($50/person/night).

2) Marina Fees (slip & utilties) to be split equally among crew. Marina Fees generally vary from $2.00 to $4.50 per foot of OA boat length, depending on location and amenities.

St Micheals Marina Slip Fee (one night) = $4.35/ft x (36' + 32') + Utility Fee (2x$18/boat). Result based on 6 people on 2 boats: $55/person. Result based on 8 people on 2 boats: $43/person.

Provisions: Large ice box on board, with ample ice and drinking water provided by the skipper. Bring your own breakfasts, lunches, and beverages; and snacks to share. Dinner ashore in St Micheals on Friday evening. Group dinner at anchor on Saturday. Menu TBD.

Cooking: There is a butane gas camp stove on Sweet Dreams (no oven);  propane stove on Sunrise, and a small propane grill on Sunrise.
